D.I.Y: Faded Pinkish-White Wooden Block Alphabets

Hey Guys! I thought it's time for me to upload some easy D.I.Y crafts to do. This is extremely easy to do and I guarantee, it takes no more than 3 minutes. You can use it to decorate your room, scrapbook and many more. I guarantee you, doing this D.I.Y takes no more than 3 minutes.

What you need:

1. Wooden letters
(You can get them at any craft store. Typo sells them but I find them quite expensive. I got mine at Overjoyed Arts N Crafts which is close to Rochor MRT station. If you want to cut cost, it'll be great to buy some wood materials and cut it up yourself, but only possible if you have the necessary equipment. )

2. Paintbrush (preferably one that is flat)

3. Pink and White Acrylic Paint

Steps:

1. Dip some pink acrylic paint with your brush and press it against the wooden alphabet. Repeat this action until you more or less coated the alphabet. When you press with your brush, do it lightly. Also, it's okay if the alphabet is not fully coated with pink and have spots.

2. Now, dip your brush in white acrylic paint and using the same action to apply it on the alphabet. This time try to cover the spots with the white paint.

3. Additional step: You can go back and forth with the two colours until you find the shade that you're most happy with. Make sure that your colours are blended nicely.

See! Isn't that easy? If you're not into pink, you can change to blue, purple, orange or basically any other colour. However, for this kind of faded style, I recommend using pastel colours. Hope you enjoy this simple D.I.Y, stay tuned for more! :)

Starting on a new Project! (scrapbooking)

Hi guys! It's been such a long time since I've updated this blog. Currently, I'm starting on a new project (scrapbooking) and will be sharing with you my whole process along with some tips and design ideas.

When you start off fresh, you need not necessarily need to have a theme or layout plan straight away. To help you guys out, I've kinda came up with a plan on how to go about creating a scrapbook.

1. Get your book (preferably blank)
Your book can be in different sizes, colours or shapes. Although there are books that have different coloured pages, it is best to stick with one colour. This is to ensure that your scrapbook at the end looks cohesive and neat.
(You do not need to design the cover page straight away, you can wait until you finished planning/ decorating the pages. But for me, I started on the cover page first anyways.)

2. Count the pages to be filled
Once you get your book, count how many pages it has and write it down so that you'll remember.

3. Planning stage

4. Preparation stage

5. Producing the end product

So basically, this is the main idea of how to do a scrapbook (at least for me) and my next updates will contain a more detailed description of stages 3-5. Do stay tuned for more updates! Thanks for reading and have a good day. :)
