So, since Teacher's Day is coming soon I thought it would be nice for me to post something. In my school, we are given tote bags to design for our teachers and I really think it's a cute idea. This sort of gift doesn't necessarily have to be for teachers, you can even DIY for yourself or your friends and family. :)
It's pretty simple to make.
First: Use pencil to draw the design on the bag. Draw lightly because it will be quite difficult to erase the marks on the bag later.
Second: Trace it over with a marker. For me I used a sharpie and Pilot Twin marker. You will probably have to trace across a few times because it's quite difficult to draw on this kind of fabric. Or you can also purchase a fabric marker which may or may not make your life easier.
One tip I can offer is that when you trace, you trace out the overall shape before you go into the details.
Lastly: Erase all the markings with an eraser. Simple right!
Here's a closer look at my design for the tote bag. Sometimes when you're stuck and you need ideas just go online and search for designs for reference which is kinda what I did... XD
Alternatively, you can use Fabric paint if you're really keen on painting. Depending on your taste, it's faster no doubt but it is also messier and can stain the bag easily if you don't control your brush properly.
